Bioguard Barrier Dressings

BIOGUARD® Barrier dressings comprise a novel line of cost-effective, active dressings that can be used as a component of an overall infection prevention program. The dressings have been shown to provide a barrier to bacterial penetration, and exhibit >5 log (99.999%) kill of a broad spectrum of pathogens including MRSA. The activity of the dressings starts almost immediately, and is long lasting. These patented dressings are unique in that the active can not detach from the dressing (non-leaching antimicrobial). This novel feature ensures that prophylactic widespread use of BIOGUARD® dressings will not lead to the formation of resistant strains of bacteria.
